Many of the resources listed below are federal and regional; however, we strive to identify and provide resources that are local to help you find the answers to your questions and information you need. VITAS has cared for patients with advanced illnesses and their families since 1978. A Medicare-certified hospice, VITAS provides a full scope of hospice and palliative services to support patients’ physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing and medical equipment, medications and supplies to address their terminal illness. VITAS’ interdisciplinary teams of hospice professionals care for patients wherever they call home—a private residence, assisted living community or nursing home. VITAS operates 44 programs in 16 states. The Collier office serves families in Naples, Immokalee and Marco Island.
