Over the past several weeks the Leadership Coalition on Aging has been accepting nominations for the annual LODESTAR Awards celebrating leadership in the field of health & human services–specifically, those making a difference in our community serving seniors.
Today, we’re very excited to share the news of our 2018 LODESTAR nominees & awardees–congratulations! Please see the attached document honoring nominees & awardees in our four award categories.
The LODESTAR award ceremony will be held during the Conference on Aging, November 14th, held at the Ispiri Community Center, Avow Campus. We have two award spots on the agenda and plans are in motion to make award presentations as follows:
- 10:30 AM
- Grassroots Civic Leader of the Year – Dr. Jaclynn Faffer
- Gift of Care Provider of the Year, Golden Gate Senior Center – Tatiana Fortune
- 12:30 PM
- Professional of the Year – Annalise Smith
- Volunteer of the Year – Hallie Devlin
The award ceremony will be facilitated by Heather Baker, Chair/LCA. Each presenter will share with conference attendees the awardee’s contributions to the field of human services, will present the awardee with their award, and in turn, the awardee will have the opportunity to say a few words in acceptance.
On behalf of LCA’s Steering Committee, thanks & congratulations to all. There are amazing things happening in our field, and we are honored to be able to pay tribute to those leading the way!
